File Studio lets you convert and compress images and audio files without leaving your browser. Drop in up to 40 files at once, choose your target format and quality settings, and download the results — all processing happens locally on your device. Nothing is sent to any server, and individual files can be up to 300 MB each.

Image Conversion

Select any number of images and convert them to your preferred format in one pass. Supported output formats: JPEG, PNG, WEBP, and more.

Format

Choose the output format from the target dropdown. WEBP is ideal for web delivery (smallest file sizes). PNG preserves transparency. JPEG is the most universally compatible.

Quality

Adjust the quality slider (1–100) to balance file size against visual fidelity. Higher values preserve more detail; lower values produce smaller files. This setting applies to lossy formats such as JPEG and WEBP.

Audio Conversion

Add audio files and export them in the format best suited for your workflow. Supported output formats: MP3, AAC, OGG, and more.

Format

Pick your target audio format. MP3 offers the broadest playback compatibility. AAC is preferred for Apple devices and video containers. OGG is open and royalty-free, well-suited for web and game audio.

Bitrate

Set the output bitrate to control audio quality and file size. Higher bitrates (e.g. 320 kbps) retain more audio detail; lower bitrates (e.g. 128 kbps) shrink the file significantly with minimal perceptible loss for speech.

Compression

The Compress tab lets you shrink files in place without changing their format. Add your images or audio, and File Studio reduces file size while keeping the original format — useful for optimizing assets before sharing over bandwidth-limited connections or embedding in other projects. Compression respects the quality and bitrate settings you have configured, so you stay in full control of the size-versus-quality trade-off.

Batch Processing

You can queue up to 40 files at a time in a single session. File Studio processes them sequentially and shows a live progress indicator for each item in the queue.
1

Add your files

Drag and drop files onto the drop zone, or click to open the file picker. You can mix images and audio in the same batch if you are working with multiple file types.
2

Configure settings

Set the target format, quality (images), and bitrate (audio) once — the settings apply to all files in the queue.
3

Start conversion

Click Convert (or Compress). The progress queue updates in real time as each file is processed.
4

Download results

Download files individually as they finish, or wait for the full batch to complete and download them all at once.
File Studio is powered by FFmpeg.wasm, which runs the full FFmpeg engine in your browser. The first time you open File Studio, a small one-time download (~30 MB) is required to load the engine. After that, all conversion and compression happens offline and instantly on subsequent visits.
